Why do bad things happen to good, and sometimes not-so-good, people? Jesus doesn’t say and neither can we. Sometimes misfortune is of our own making and sometimes it is tragically unlucky. But Jesus isn’t beneath using such occasions to invite us to wake up – or in this case, turn around (repent!) – so that we might look differently at our life and world. Jesus isn’t beneath taking the daily news of his day or the news on FOX or CNN and using it to jar us into recognizing that life is a gift, that God is seeking us out, and that there is so much good we can do with the time we are given.
I'll see you in church,
Paula+
March Deacon’s Corner
St. Michaels family,
Thank you to all who helped kick off our first Bag Lunch program, filling lunch bags and making sandwiches. Special thanks to Angie and Jeanett for decorating the lunch bags.
We’re doing it again Saturday March 1st from 11 a.m.-12 noon.
Remember always to be mindful of the needs of others.
Peace, Deacon Rob

Good news March 21, 2025
Memorial Lamps - The experience of the pandemic is highlighting what is truly important to our community. It is apparent that the need for fresh flowers on the altar each week is not a burning desire. With that in mind, we will halt the regular purchase of flowers but continue to accept memorial donations for lamps. These donations support our worship supplies such as bread, wine, linens, candles, and oils. Please contact Tracey on reserving a date. Lamps are $7 each. 3/23 (one), 3/30 (two)
Let us pray for peace: Eternal God, in whose perfect kingdom no sword is drawn but the sword of righteousness, no strength known but the strength of love: So mightily spread abroad your Spirit, that all peoples may be gathered under the banner of the Prince of Peace, as children of one Father; to whom be dominion and glory, now and for ever. Amen. (BCP pg 815)
